Going Racing!
(9/21/00) With speedway
racing about to resume in the ARCA Bondo/Mar Hyde Series, Dan and Crew are
completing car preparations for next weeks Talladega Test Day.
Well be taking our
99 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to next Wednesdays test day. Dan spoke from
the shop in Charlotte. Its the same speedway car we ran last year in
Talladega and at Daytona this year. The car performs well, running in the
top ten at both tracks. At Talladega, we were caught up in a late race
accident with Kirk Shelmerdine and finished 21st. In February at Daytona, we
had a seventh place finish.
Dan added, Im
looking forward to the test. With the car and set up refinements made by
Larry Moore, I think we will see increased speed and improved handling.
Talladega Test day is
Wednesday, September 27. The next race for Jim & Judie Motorsports is at
Lowe's Motorspeedway on October 4.
At Lowes, we'll run
the 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The car has been rebuilt after partying with
the turn three wall in Kentucky in August, said Dan with a grin.
The Talladega race is the
following weekend, on October 21. Dan remains second in the speedway
challenge series behind point leader Bob Strait with three superspeedway
races remaining on this year's schedule.
