What a bummer, travel to the track, practice laps in the top 40 contenders, draw your #, 53.

Well, in a field of 43, what are the chances of 10 contenders dropping out of the race!!

Man I didn't get to see the race saturday but I saw the highlights on Sunday. All I can say is thank GOD we build those things strong. I was all but sure you broke everything from the eyes down. That was a bitch of a hit. Glad to hear you are doing well and that you were using the new restraint system. That had to help. Your crew chief, Ron Utter, has the same name as my brother-in-law. He thought it was kinda cute. I was on a team in Calif and we raced at Riverside with the WC boys a few times. I did a lot of work on the cars and know what goes into building them and spent many an hour trying to figure out a better safer way to do things for the driver. Hope you get fully recovered and can get back to give em heck next time.

Hello Dan, My Uncle David in Cailf. just sent me this web page. We are cousins, my mother is Marion Eaton and her parents are Raymond and Stella Dlubac, both have passed on. Hi Dan,

You should have had a top five finish. Great race, great strategy. Tim Steele should be given driving lessons for his performance. He wrecked somebody in the first few laps, he almost wrecked somebody in the middle of the race, then he wrecked you (and himself) on the LAST LAP. What was he thinking? He was trying to go three wide in an area where you just can't do it. He is from around where I live, and I don't have any respect for him. You showed some class telling Fox Sports (who did a good job covering the race) that you thought Steele got bumped, then he bumped into you. After seeing the tape, I'm sure you could see what a stupid move he did at the end (and all the other stupid moves he did). You proved that you have a great car and crew and will be strong all year. I am looking forward to the Berlin, MI race. Hopefully I can sneak down to the pits and introduce myself to you (I am friends with your friend Brian Buzzuto - thanks to him I have been following you for the past two years). If you would like a free hand at that race, let me know. Good luck in Nashville!
