Dan Pardus grew up in the shadow of the Daytona International Speedway and still resides in Daytona Beach. Dan started racing at age twelve and was the Four Cylinder Track
Champion in 1982 and 1983 at New Smyrna Speedway and the 1983 Florida State Four Cylinder Champion.
In
addition,
Dan
also
raced
Motocross,
Modifieds,
Late
Models,
Florida
Legends,
and
had
competed
for
five
years
in
the
Nascar
Goody's
Dash
Series,
finishing
ninth
in
points
in
his
1992
rookie
year
with
one
top
five
finish,
and
eight
top
ten
finishes.
After
a
successful
business
career
as
owner-operator
of
Multi-Communications
Inc.,
an
underground
utility
contracting
company,
Dan
sold
the
Company
to
pursue
a
full
time
racing
career.
Dan's
racing
resume
includes
Rookie
of
the
Year
Award
and
Track
Championship
at
New
Smyrna
Speedway
in
Florida.
He
amassed
over
50
feature
victories
while
competing
at
the
Nascar
sanctioned
speedway.
In
1997
he
began
racing
in
the
ARCA
Bondo-Hyde
series.
He
finished
ninth
in
his
ARCA
debut
at
the
Daytona
200
and
was
14th
in
ARCA
standings
running
a
limited
schedule
in
his
rookie
season.
He
posted
two
top-fives
and
three
top-10s
that
season.
In
1998,
he
ran
his
first
Winston
Cup
race,
qualifying
26th
for
the
Pepsi
400
at
Daytona
in
the
Midwest
Transit
Racing
Chevrolet.
In
1999,
he
drove
for
Midwest
Transit
Racing
but
was
released
mid-season.
He
raced
a
limited
ARCA
Bondo-Hyde
schedule
that
year.
During the 2000 season, Dan competed in 8 ARCA events posting 2 Top Fives and 3 Top Tens.
In 2001, Dan continued a limited ARCA schedule, while making the jump to the Nascar Busch Series. Dan's effort to move to the higher series
saw him qualify for 6 races, including a 16th place start at Darlington, proving his decision to move up to the Nascar ranks was a wise one. |
